My name is Dave Parker, and I have a problem“Good new!” Our teacher said. I stiffened, because well, good new usually means bad news if you have a teacher like mine. “We’re having a sixth grade…” She paused for dramatic effect, “DANCE!” WHAT?! I was frozen in my seat, and I started to blush. The room suddenly started getting louder, and this time our teacher let us. Shane jumped up and raised her hand, looking excited. “Ooooh! Can I be the DJ?!” Our teacher looked pleased. “Yes, you CAN, Shane. In fact, you can choose someone to be your announcer, if you want.” Shane’s face was beaming, but she said, “I’ll think about it.” “Our class will be in charge of the planning,” Our teacher continued. “Wait, when is it?” somebody asked. “During the lunch, so everyone can participate.” Was the reply. I was still red and blushing. A dance? For real? I never went to a dance before, and now there was no getting
My name is Dave ParkerMy name is Dave Parker. I’m one of the class clowns, I guess you could say that. I mean, I’m not the biggest one, that’s Justin, he gets in trouble WAY much more than me. I can’t really help it, class clowning is just irresistible to me, but it does have some consequences. But the perk is that you get POPULAR. Dude, I’m like the second most popular person in my class, it’s amazing. A ball almost hit me in the head. We’re at recess, thank god, I can’t stand another hour with our teacher. After recess, the other sixth grade teacher switches places with our teacher and t
A Week Of KissesA Week Of Kisses
The first day I told you I loved you,
I imagined kissing your shoulder,
Well before I thought about your lips.
Because I don’t know what I am doing, firstly,
But more importantly,
It’s because I know things can spiral quickly,
If things start shifting
After we lay down the concrete.
So I kiss the foundation,
Before we reach the soil.
The second day I told you I loved you,
I imagined kissing your elbow,
Because it holds together the touch
And the flex.
To exhibit it,
I must kiss the joint that bends
And combines us together.
The third day I told you I loved you,
I lay my lips to your temples,
As I learned about the temple of reform,
For the Youth in North America.
Kissing you there signifying I will protect you,
As well as your temple,
As we re-form, into something more.
The fourth day I told you I loved you,
I’d kiss you softly on your forehead.
Because that’s what holds your brillian
